Background:
Ashley played both softball and basketball in high school. After working a desk job full-time, attending college and getting married, she became inactive and put on some weight. She started back with an active lifestyle with at-home fitness programs and began running half marathons. In January 2014, she began her CrossFit journey and hasn’t looked back. She got her CF-L1 in July 2015 and began coaching in January 2016.
I CrossFit because:
I enjoy the variety. Every day is different and you’ll never get bored. There’s always a new skill to work on or a new number to shoot for on weightlifting.
I coach because:
I want to help others become better than they believe they can be. It’s exciting to watch people develop a skill they never though they’d learn or lift weights they wouldn’t have ever dreamed of.
My favorite exercise is:
Cleans, followed closely by snatches!
My favorite “cheat” meal is:
Definitely tacos. I could eat them every single day!

Philip

Background:
Philip was on the track team in high school. He always enjoyed running and continued to do so after school. He has completed 5 half marathons and several mudruns. He started venturing outside of running by starting P90X and then eventually found CrossFit and has been doing that ever since.
I CrossFit because:
It’s the only way I’ve found to not get bored working out. CrossFit pushes me past my comfort zone which also helps me with confidence in my daily life.
I coach because:
I love being a part of other people’s improvements. It’s amazing to be around a group of people that work hard and constantly strive to be better.
My favorite exercise is:
The overhead squat.
My favorite “cheat” meal is:
Cheeseburgers. Is there anything else?

Background:
Chris has always been active. He grew up playing sports, including football, basketball and baseball. He went on to play D1 college baseball.
I CrossFit because:
There’s nothing like competing with others.
I coach because:
I want others to realize they may be facing a mountain, but with one foot in front of the other, they can always persevere.
My favorite exercise is:
The clean!
My favorite “cheat” meal is:

Background:
Daniel has always enjoyed staying active. In the past, he has played baseball and soccer and also participated in BMX. He started CrossFit in 2014 when he was traveling a lot and wanted to find a way to stay in shape. He saw people online doing “Fran” and decided to try it. He thought it would only take a couple minutes to finish it. Six minutes later, gasping for breath, he was hooked!
I CrossFit because:
The community and the intensity makes it the best program on the planet.
I coach because:
CrossFit completely revolutionized my perspective of what it means to be healthy and I want to lead others down the same path.
My favorite exercise is:
Diane! Deadlifts and handstand push ups.
My favorite “cheat” meal is:
The biggest burger you can find with all the bacon in the world.

Jenna
Coach
Background:
Jenna has been active since high school, where she played a variety of sports, including volleyball, tennis, track/field, softball and basketball. She continued her active lifestyle in college where she played ultimate frisbee. In addition, she also completed a marathon (26.2 miles) in 2015.
Jenna started CrossFit in 2011 while she was in graduate school. She has been coaching adults and kids CrossFit for over 3 years. She also competed in the CrossFit Regionals (Central Region) in 2016 with the CrossFit Kinesis team, placing 14th.
I CrossFit because:
1 – I love to eat! 2 – I want to improve long-term functional fitness and health 3 – I am super competitive so it keeps working out fun for me.
I coach because:
I love being part of helping people succeed at meeting their health/fitness goals. It has also taught me many things as an athlete and I’ve learned so much about nutrition as well.
My favorite exercise is:

Background:
Justine grew up playing several sports and chose a career in the sports medicine world. She has always enjoyed working out and decided to try CrossFit over 3 years ago and hasn’t stopped since.
I CrossFit because:
It’s effective and therapeutic and it brings people together through health and self improvement. (And it allows me to drink all the beers and eat all the chips!)
I coach because:
It gives me a better understanding of the sport and how to apply it to everyday life.
My favorite exercise is:
Power Cleans and GHD Sit Ups
My favorite “cheat” meal is:
A whole bag of jalapeño kettle chips and cheese and crackers and wine and chocolate…this could go on forever!
